Linking Populi to Learning System (New Students)

Linking Populi to Learning System (New Students)

Logging in the First Time

This process is for students taking their first course at the Josephinum Diaconate Institute.

To access your course(s) in the learning platform (Moodle), you will need to create an account in Moodle that is connected to Populi.

New students to JDI

  1. Log in to Populi (  https://jdi.populiweb.com ).
  2. Go to the course page (see  (see  Accessing Courses in Populi  for instructions).
  3. Click the Assignments link in the left side menu.

  4. The Assignments page displays.

  5. Click on the course name link. The assignment page displays.

  6. Click on the course name link. Moodle opens in a new browser, and the following page displays.

  7. Click Create an account for me . A new Moodle account is created for you, and the following page displays.

  8. Click Continue to now access the course. The course page displays.

From this point forward, you should log into your course from within Populi (see instructions below). Note, however, that if you are taking more than one course at a time, you do not need to return to Populi to navigate to the second course in Moodle. You can simply click My courses at the top, and select your second course.

Accessing your Course

Access your course directly from Populi. To do so:
  1. Go to the course page in Populi.
  2. Click Syllabus.
  3. Look to the right side of the page. Click on the link (Access Course in LMS) that displays on that page. It will take you directly to the course page.
